After Hours

For the comfort of other guests we ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 10pm. Moonta Bay Management are accessible 24 Hours a day for Emergencies only.


Though Management will do their best, specific accommodation or sites cannot be guaranteed. 

Arrival / Departure Times Arrival Time

Check In Time  is from 2pm. Prior arrangements must be made with management for late arrivals after 6pm (8pm during Peak Periods). Departure Time: Check Out must be by 10am on day of departure (Unless prior arrangement has been made with management. Additional fees will be Incurred)



Moonta Bay Caravan Park reserves the right to immediately evict any guest, visitor or member of the public for any anti-social behaviour, including but not limited to: possession or use of illegal drugs, wilfu damage to Moonta Bay Caravan Park property, theft, physical or verbal abuse of staff, other guests or the public. In the event of an eviction, all money held or due will be forfeited and the registered guest will be unable to make future reservations at Moonta Bay Caravan Park.



OFFPEAK/SHOULDER. More than 7 days prior to arrival, the deposit will be refunded (less a $20 administration fee).
Less than 7 days – No Refund will be given.
Reservations altered at the commencement of or during occupancy (eg. Weather Conditions) do not qualify for any refund and the monies paid will be forfeited by the guest.

PEAK. Cancellations made after the full payment date surrender all monies paid. If the site booked can be resold, monies paid (minus a cancellation fee) will be refunded.


Infants under 2 years of age are free of charge, however there may be a charge for the use of a cot if required. Child rates apply to ages 2-15 years. Moonta Bay Caravan Park reserves the right to request proof of age.


Damages / Loss

All registered guests shall be liable for any loss or damage to the appliances, furniture, keys/passes, fixtures and fittings in the accommodation. Fair wear and tear excluded. A fee may be charged if excessive cleaning is required after departure.


Deposits and Final Payments

OFF PEAK/SHOULDER SEASONS.  To secure your booking, a one night deposit is required at time of making your booking. Remaining balance is to be paid at the time of check-in 

CHRISTMAS AND EASTER HOLIDAYS.  An initial a one night deposit is required at time of making your booking, with full payment is required on or before: 

  • Christmas - 31st October 2018 
  • Easter - 31st January  2019



Forms of Payment

Payment is accepted by cash, Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS or Direct Debit. Personal cheques will be accepted only if received 10 working days, prior to arrival.


Group Bookings

Additional terms and conditions may apply to group bookings.



The tariffs quoted include linen for each bed booked and paid for.


Minimum Booking Periods

Minimum booking periods may apply over school holidays, weekends, long weekends and selected special events.


Maximum Numbers per Unit

The number of people accommodated in each unit must not exceed the number of beds available.

Police and Security

In the event of an eviction (see "Behaviour" section above) [instance:name] management reserves the right to engage Police or private licenced security personnel at their absolute discretion if an evicted person does not leave as and when required. You agree by agreeing to these terms that Police and private licenced security may use reasonable force to remove persons and their belongings from [instance:name]. The cost of private licenced security, and any necessary storage of belongings, will be charged direct to the credit card used at the time of check in. You undertake to comply with any lawful direction of [instance:name] management, Police or private licenced security. We may show these terms and your approval of same to Police or private licenced security as required.


Personal Belongings

Moonta Bay Caravan Park takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal item. Remember to lock your cabin or caravan when not occupied. Also lock your vehicle and remove any valuables; parking is at your own risk. Thoroughly check the accommodation before departure as any items left behind may not be recovered.


Pet Policy

Moonta Bay Caravan Park is a Pet friendly Park with a maximum of 2 pets per site. But are strictly prohibited from all Cabin Accommodation, this includes leaving pets in vehicles or tied up outside of cabin.

Pets are strictly Prohibited from all Park Buildings and Ablution Blocks.
Pets must remain on a reasonable length leash, controlled and supervised at all times.
Pet faeces must be collected, bagged and placed in rubbish bin



All prices quoted are in Australian dollars, are inclusive of GST and subject to change without notice due to seasonal and other variations. Prices are based on two persons occupying accommodation; extra person rates apply for each additional person.



Accommodation is serviced weekly, commencing on the 8th day after arrival.



Moonta Bay Caravan Park are non-smoking. By law, it is prohibited to smoke inside or within 5 metres of any public building. Smoking inside your accommodation will incur a minimum fee of $100.


Visitors of Park Guests

All visitors of park guests must report to reception on arrival to obtain Day Passes before entering Moonta Bay Caravan Park. A small fee applies to each guest.


Wrist Bands

It is a mandatory requirement that wrist bands be worn for the duration of your stay during designated periods. Wrist bands will be supplied at the time of check in for all registered guests attached to your booking. Infants 2 years and under, are not required to wear wrist bands.
